Crystal Coast Hospice House: Provides a monthly meal for residents, family, and staff

The Gathering Place: Provides and serves meals to the Havelock area

  • Throughout the year and especially during the summer, we spend approximately $1000/month on grocery items in addition to the donations we receive in order to provide well-rounded, hot meals to our neighbors in need.  On average we serve around 200 guests per day (about 3,000/month) between May-August. We rely heavily on donations from the community and unfortunately, our grocery fund is currently dangerously low. If you feel led to give any amount, it would be much appreciated!  We are a registered 501(c)3 Nonprofit and your donation is tax deductible!
  • Join our volunteer team! We have options for host/hostess, food prep, and food serving roles. Your help makes a difference!

Craven County Schools

  • Craven County Schools welcomes individuals looking to make a positive contribution in the life of a child by serving as a mentor. Mentors agree to a 30 minute per week commitment during the school year that takes place at the student’s school. Individuals and businesses can volunteer to mentor students, and many mentors provide academic support and tutoring to their mentees.
  • Volunteers help in the classroom, library, with special events, and anywhere they are needed at all Craven County schools. To get started, contact the school nearest you and offer your services. All volunteers must pass a background check.
